The Indiana Pacers are currently in the early stages of the 2026 offseason after missing the playoffs in 2025-26. The Pacers recently got some tough news when they missed out on their lottery pick, which is on its way to the Los Angeles Clippers thanks to the Ivica Zubac trade.
Next year, the Pacers will look to climb back into the contention mix in the Eastern Conference with Tyrese Haliburton leading the way, and recently, the star point guard shared a video of his recovery process from his torn Achilles injury on X, formerly Twitter.
It's certainly an encouraging update from the star, who produced multiple iconic moments during last year's shocking run to the NBA Finals. Haliburton suffered the Achilles injury in Game 7 of the Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder , ending any realistic chance that Indiana had of winning that game, but the team is hoping that he will be able to return to form and get the Pacers back into the title conversation.
NBA fans watched in awe as Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum returned this past season from an Achilles injury suffered about a month before Haliburton's, and by the time the Celtics' postseason run ended, the star was looking close to the full version of himself, which was certainly an encouraging sign.
Meanwhile, although they paid a hefty price to get him, Zubac figures to be a strong addition for the Pacers in the paint, as they look to replace the void left by Myles Turner when he joined the Milwaukee Bucks last summer.
The Pacers will now look to potentially make some minor tweaks to the roster this summer ahead of the 2026-27 season.
