- Packers Legend Rips Former Team With Brutal 6-Word Message After Embarrassing TNF Loss

The Green Bay Packers were blown out 35-14 by the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3 on Thursday Night Football. The woeful loss dropped coach Matt LaFleur's team to 1-2 for the season and ended a run of 13 consecutive home opening wins (2013 to 2025), a run only matched by the Miami Dolphins (1976 to 1988).
In light of that humiliating loss, franchise icon David Bakhtiari had a thing or two to say about how Green Bay succumbed in primetime.
Bakhtiari joined the Packers fans who booed their team at halftime with a simple six-word message on X.
"Ngl: This is tough to watch," Bakhtiari wrote .
The Packers were hot favorites to win the game at Lambeau Field against a winless Falcons team that had only managed 16 points in its first two games.
As it turns out, the Packers failed to run the ball once again, accumulating 17 yards on 9 rushes as the offense stalled in the absence of running back Josh Jacobs , who is dealing with off-field legal issues .
The Packers punted the ball five times as they went 6-of-15 on third downs and 2-of-3 on fourth downs. With that loss, offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich's unit has earned a PFN NFL Offense Impact score of 68.9 (No. 28 in the league).
During his postgame news conference, LaFleur dissected his team's ineptitude on both sides of the ball.

"It was a (expletive)-whooping," LaFleur said. "That was at least three-quarters (expletive)-whooping right there. I don't want to put all the blame on the offensive line. There's enough blame to go around to everybody.
"I think we all saw a dynamic running back on the other side, and I think Josh is a dynamic running back. But it is the situation; it's the circumstance. And it is what it is right now. And we've got to find a way just to either, well, one, we've got to put them in a better position, and then those guys gotta go do it."

Defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon's unit is also missing the presence of three-time First-team All-Pro defensive end Micah Parsons , who is on the PUP list after tearing his left ACL and suffering meniscus damage last year, forcing him to undergo reconstructive surgery.
The Falcons put up 498 total yards to the home team's 328 total yards as the crowd booed the team at halftime. The NFC North giants have now earned a PFN Defense Impact score of 81.1 (No. 10 in the league).
LaFleur is in his eighth season in charge of the franchise and has compiled a 77-42-1 regular-season record. Thursday was one of LaFleur's most lopsided home losses, and the Packers have never started a season 1-2 under the coach.
The team has made the playoffs in six of LaFleur's seven full seasons in charge, but hasn't returned to the NFC Championship Game since 2020.
