- Packers may have a sleeper star to watch at vital position
The Packers are undergoing a complete reset at wide receiver, but may see an unheralded contributor emerge in the NFL season ahead .
After jettisoning veteran Dontayvion Wicks in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles , and allowing last season's team-leading receiver Romeo Doubs to walk via free agency, Green Bay is leaning hard on Christian Watson to stay healthy at the top of the depth chart and last spring's first-round pick, Matthew Golden to thrive in an expanded role.
There may be help on the way.

Undrafted free agent receiver Michael Sturdivant was one of the Packers' most pleasant surprises of the preseason, and his strong summer earned him a roster spot during final cuts.
According to Pro Football Focus, Sturdivant was one of the highest-graded rookies across the league this preseason.
"The former Florida Gator started the Packers' preseason finale," Gordon McGuinness writes for PFF . "And it turned into his best game of the summer. He averaged 2.96 yards per route run in the preseason and caught all nine of the catchable targets thrown his way."
Sturdivant garnered an elite 85.8 overall grade, as the eighth-highest graded rookie in the NFL, so if he can come close to being that productive in his regular season snaps, the Packers will have mined insane value from the former Florida standout.
