Josh Jacobs is still eligible to play for the Green Bay Packers, but the NFL just gave the team a reason to plan for life without him. The league said Saturday it will review accounts from three more women who accused Jacobs of abuse in 2021 and 2022 as part of an investigation that remains open , and his attorneys have disputed the new allegations . That puts Titans running back Tony Pollard back on Green Bay's radar a week before the Nov. 10 trade deadline.
FanSided's Wynston Wilcox included Green Bay in his trade packages for the 29-year-old, and we sent Pollard to Green Bay in our own deadline wish list. The Packers should make the call.
Why Josh Jacobs' review changes the math

Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward (1) hands off to running back Tony Pollard (20) during the third quarter against the Cleveland Browns at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., Sunday, Oct. 25, 2026.
Matt LaFleur said Monday the team is "going to allow the NFL to do its process," adding, "But I would anticipate him being a member of us moving forward." That backing doesn't settle how many games Jacobs could miss if the league rules against him. His six games on the commissioner exempt list would count toward any future suspension, so a longer ban would cost Green Bay games in the second half.
The Packers know what that looks like. They ran for an NFL-low 60.4 yards per game while he was out.
Even with Jacobs back, the run game hasn't taken off. He had 21 carries for 39 yards and two touchdowns in Thursday's 27-19 win over Carolina, earning a 63.9 run grade, according to PFF, and the Packers are asking Jordan Love to cover for it. MarShawn Lloyd played 11 snaps behind him.
Pollard has 595 rushing yards and six touchdowns, with five of those scores coming in his last two games, and he's in the final year of his contract. Over the Cap shows a trade would save the Titans $7.25 million against $2 million in dead money , and Green Bay has $6,381,530 in cap space to absorb the rest of his 2026 salary.
The bigger name costs far more. ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported the Packers were among the teams in active talks with the Colts about Jonathan Taylor, and Indianapolis has already turned down a 2027 second-round pick plus another selection. We've argued Green Bay shouldn't go all-in on that chase.
A mid-round pick for Pollard covers the downside if the league comes back with more games, and it gives LaFleur a proven back either way.
