Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers shared her unfiltered thoughts on the new Apple TV docuseries about the UConn Huskies.
Bueckers led the Huskies to an undefeated national championship in 2025 under coach Geno Auriemma and alongside girlfriend Azzi Fudd.
With a new docuseries chronicling the legendary dominance of the Huskies in modern women's basketball and giving insight into the trio and their relationship, Bueckers has finally addressed it.
Paige Bueckers approved the UConn Huskies docuseries
Bueckers discussed the new docuseries with reporters, revealing she and her team approved it while also breaking down why it's important for their tenure to be documented.
"Yeah, I got to watch it. Our team approved it and stuff like that… I lived it and was a part of it, but to have it on film, to have it kind of be documented and to see other people. For me, it was like I wanted other people to see that it's not always beautiful."
Bueckers acknowledged that this docuseries was to honor the national championship-winning support system that the people around focal stars like Bueckers and Auriemma created to ensure the title could come back to Connecticut .
"It wasn't just me. There were so many teammates and coaches, strength and conditioning staff, and my doctors who helped me recover from my injuries. Like, it really takes a village, and to have great faith, great determination, and have great people around you. I think that's what it was all about."

The docuseries highlights the ups-and-downs of the Huskies under coach Auriemma, including his mind games with Bueckers over their tenure together, especially in their title-winning season.
While the pair might have jeopardised their personal relationship forever in the quest for that 2025 title, both would rather have that championship than not anyway.
The docuseries also features some of the only public comments that Bueckers and teammate Azzi Fudd have ever made about their relationship as well.
