The 2026 NBA Draft concluded on Wednesday night. Though no Nebraska players were drafted, two Huskers were picked up by NBA teams. Sam Hoiberg signed with the Phoenix Suns , and Rienk Mast signed with the Indiana Pacers .
Both players put together strong senior seasons, helping Nebraska to its third consecutive 20-win season, first-ever NCAA tournament win and first-ever Sweet Sixteen appearance.
Hoiberg got signed by the Sun shortly after the conclusion of the NBA draft, following a standout senior year with the Huskers. In his final season, Hoiberg averaged 9.3 points per game and set a single-season school record in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.75-to-1). He totaled 157 assists against 42 turnovers. Hoiberg also snatched 70 steals.
Hoiberg also earned himself an All-Big Ten honorable mention, a spot on the Big Ten All-Defensive Team, and was a finalist for the Nolan Richardson Award.
Mast, meanwhile, signed an Exhibit 10 contract, a one-year, non-guaranteed contract, with the Indiana Pacers after returning to the court following an injury in the 2024-2025 season. Mast averaged 13.3 points per game, finishing second on the team, and led the Huskers in rebounds per game, hauling in 5.8 per contest. He also set a career-high in three-pointers (50) and free throws (65) on the season.
His play earned him All-Big Ten honorable mention, third-team mid-season All-American and a spot on the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Top 10 Midseason Watch List.
