The Carolina Panthers held more than just a practice during the opening day of 2026 training camp.
According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, the team brought in six players for workouts on Thursday.
Among those on hand was tight end Caden Prieskorn , who parlayed his look into a deal. The Panthers announced the signing of the 26-year-old this afternoon.
Prieskorn, a first-team All-AAC selection at the University of Memphis in 2022 and a second-team All-SEC selection at the University of Mississippi in 2023, first cracked into the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Detroit Lions last year. He went on to pick up stops with the Denver Broncos , Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cleveland Browns throughout the 2025 campaign.
Carolina, per Wilson, may also add offensive tackle Derrell Bailey—another visitor brought in by Carolina. Bailey, a 6-foot-6, 320-pounder, played for the Georgia State University Panthers in 2025.
