Ray played in 46 games for the Panthers over the last three seasons. He had 73 tackles and a sack on over 1,100 defensive snaps.
The Panthers also announced that they have signed wide receivers Roc Taylor and Elijah Cooks . Wideouts Gabriel Benyard and Ainias Smith were waived, which leaves Carolina with one open roster spot.
