Carolina Panthers safety Tre'von Moehrig-Woodard put the "wood" in Tre'von Moehrig-Woodard.
On Wednesday, the reigning NFC South champions locked up for a joint practice with the reigning AFC South champions, the Jacksonville Jaguars , from the Miller Electric Center. And keeping to his government name, as well as the name of the Jags' practice facility, Moehrig lit up the session with a hit on Jacksonville wide receiver Tim Jones . . .
Moehrig's shot, per Vashti Hurt of Carolina Blitz, even caught the attention of a certain Panthers legend who was on hand for today's proceedings . . .
Umm . . . ice up, son?
2026 will mark the second season of Moehrig's three-year, $51 million pact with the team. He impressed throughout his first, tallying 103 combined tackles as well as a few career-highs in sacks (3.0) and tackles for a loss (14).
Reports from the joint practice have indicated that the Jacksonville offense has gotten the better of the Carolina defense this morning . . . but maybe just not in this one particular instance.
