Patrick Mahomes' Appearance for Chiefs-Texans Game Grabs Attention

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs face a must-win game on Sunday against the Houston Texans . The Chiefs are coming off a disappointing Thanksgiving Day loss to the Dallas Cowboys , which dropped them to 6-6 on the season. Kansas City is in a precarious position at the moment as it fights to stay alive in the playoff race, and a loss on Sunday would result in another massive blow to its hopes of securing a postseason berth.

Mahomes arrived at Arrowhead Stadium a couple of hours before kickoff. The two-time NFL MVP looked locked in and ready to go, and his appearance quickly drew the attention of the fans on social media.

Mahomes had a big game against Dallas in Week 13. The two-time All-Pro quarterback completed 23-of-34 passes for 261 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions. It still wasn’t enough to lead the Chiefs to victory, though, as Dak Prescott and the Cowboys escaped with a hard-fought 31-28 win at AT&T Stadium.

Mahomes is now looking to build on his performance against Dallas. There’s a lot of pressure on Mahomes and the Chiefs on Sunday against Houston because from here on out, they will need to win all five of their remaining regular-season games to keep their playoff hopes alive.

The Chiefs star arrived for the game wearing a tan pullover fleece that featured an abstract wave pattern and a quarter-zip neckline. He paired it with matching loose, wide-legged track pants of the same shade. He capped off his all-Adidas ensemble with chunky sneakers in shades of cream, tan and red orange.

Mahomes’ gameday outfit drew all sorts of reactions from the fans.

“He’s locked in and focused for the big W,” a comment read.

“The aura is just radiating. Please win King,” said another.

“Omg the 3rd pic... He's scared for his life 😭” declared a user.

“QB 1 ROCKING HIS OAKLEY'S 😎” a reaction read.

“Everytime doesn’t wear a suit this year we win!” another said.

“His shoes 👀 😂” a fan wrote.

Mahomes, who enters Sunday’s game with 285-of-441 completed passes for 3,238 yards and 22 touchdowns this season, will need to be at his best on Sunday night against a determined Houston side. The 7-5 Texans are also fighting for a spot in the playoffs, and they are expected to make life very difficult for Mahomes and Co.

The primetime kickoff from Arrowhead is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET.
