The Patriots are elevating two practice squad players for their Sunday night Wildcard showdown with the LA Chargers.
Defensive lineman Leonard Taylor III and wide receiver Jeremiah Webb will be on the active roster for the opening playoff game.
Taylor, who was signed to the practice squad in October after being released by the New York Jets , was elevated for three games during the regular season. He finished with eight tackles.
He’ll provide depth up front.
Webb, signed as a rookie free agent out of South Alabama, earns his first elevation.
With Kayshon Boutte still battling a hamstring problem, and listed as questionable for the game, Webb adds some depth to that position.
The Patriots are also dealing with the loss of Mack Hollins , who is on IR at least through the first two postseason games should the team advance.
The game pits the AFC’s second-seeded Patriots (114-3) against the seventh-seeded Chargers (11-6).
