It's no secret that Josh McDaniels is a fan of fullbacks, and now the New England Patriots have landed one of the best available.
According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo , the Patriots are signing fullback Reggie Gilliam to a three-year, $12 million deal, which includes $4.4 million in his first season.
And with this signing, they also take away a weapon from their top division rival, as he spent his career with the Bills after signing as an undrafted free agent out of Toledo in 2020. Across his career, he recorded 16 catches for 135 yards and two touchdowns, along with eight rushes for 14 yards.
Last season, tight end Jack Westover served as the team's primary fullback, with defensive tackle Khyiris Tonga coming in for select packages. The Patriots also have Brock Lampe , who spent the season on injured reserve.
This is New England 's second signing on Monday, after having agreed to a deal with edge defender Dre'Mont Jones .
