New England Patriots defensive tackle Cory Durden sent out a sharp message to his critics on social media following the team's 24-19 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
Durden addressed the negativity directed his way on X, making it clear that he intends to let his performances do the talking rather than engage in arguments with critics.
"I see all the hate and just answer with my play," Durden wrote.
Durden delivered his best performance of the season against Miami, finishing with four total tackles, including two solo tackles, along with 1.5 sacks, three quarterback hits and two tackles for loss. His contributions helped New England disrupt the Dolphins' offensive attack throughout the game and secure an important divisional victory.
Through eight games played thus far this season, Durden has recorded 19 total tackles and five quarterback hits. His 1.5 sacks and two tackles for loss against the Dolphins put him on the board in both of those statistical categories for the first time this year.
He will have another opportunity to build on those numbers in Week 9 when the Patriots take on the Green Bay Packers.
