Pittsburgh Penguins game vs. Philadelphia Flyers
The NHL inched forward with the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs schedule Thursday, and the Pittsburgh Penguins will host the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday April 18, at 8 p.m.
That's the good news.
As for Game 2 and the rest of the Round One schedule, the NHL is creating a great deal of fan frustration because the league has scheduled nothing else. The rest of the series schedule remains a mystery.

There are mitigating circumstances in Philadelphia, as the 76'ers are in the NBA playoffs. The 76'ers host the Boston Celtics Friday, and Xfinity Mobile Arena is booked Saturday night by a Florence and the Machine concert.
Perhaps the delayed schedule results from the NHL not being able to shake it out?
