The Penn State Nittany Lions will be coming off a bye entering into their game against the Purdue Boilermakers this week.
After a strong start to the year, Penn State has lost four straight games , with the team completely underperforming. The Nittany Lions will be coming into this game with Purdue holding a record of 3-4 on the season, with the team going 0-4 in Big Ten matchups.

As for Purdue, they will be coming into the game with a record of 3-4, going 2-2 in Big Ten play so far. The Boilermakers will be looking to pull off the upset in this contest, while Penn State will try to stop the bleeding.
Penn State head coach Matt Campbell wants to see his players competing more this coming week, playing a full 60-min game. But whether his team can put together a strong outing this week remains to be seen.
Entering the big game for the Nittany Lions, college football analyst David Kenyon of Bleacher Report made a prediction for how the contest would go. According to Kenyon, Penn State will get back on track this week, taking down Purdue by a score of 31-20.
For the Nittany Lions to get the win to stop the losing streak, the team is going to need a well-rounded effort. When Penn State was winning early on this season, both sides of the ball were playing up to par.

One area of concern for the Nittany Lions has been the performance from quarterback Rocco Becht over the last few weeks. Becht has struggled on the field, and it has translated to Penn State dropping games.
For the year, Becht has thrown for 1,664 yards with 12 touchdowns and five interceptions. But over the last four games, Becht has thrown all five of the interceptions, showing signs of struggle on the field.
Campbell has defended Becht's play despite there being calls to bench the veteran quarterback. For now, Becht will remain as the starter for the Nittany Lions, but if he were to put together another poor outing against Purdue, even Campbell may not be able to save his job.
Penn State has to find a way to grab the game against Purdue this week; otherwise, there will be more questions around Campbell as well . Kickoff for the Nittany Lions and Boilermakers is scheduled for 1:15 p.m. PT/4:15 p.m. ET at Beaver Stadium.
