PFF season grades for Jaguars 3 free agent moves

Over a week into the NFL's free agency period, it's been a relatively quiet stretch for the Jacksonville Jaguars . So far, the only outside addition made has been the signing of Chris Rodriguez. We also saw the Jaguars re-sign Montaric Brown and Dennis Gardeck .

So, let's take a look at how these players graded out by Pro Football Focus' metrics last season.

Below is a look at PFF's grading system for some context. While this metric is very helpful when it comes to quantifying a player's performance, PFF's grading system isn't the be-all and end-all either. It is one metric out of many that are out there.

• 90.0+: Elite

• 80-89.9: High quality

• 70-79.9: Good

• 60-69.9: Above average

• 50-59.9: Average

• 40-49.9: Below average

• 39.9 or less: Poor

Now, here are the 2025 PFF grades these players received.

RB Chris Rodriguez

PFF grade:73.5

Rodriguez saw his role expand in 2025, carrying the ball 112 times after doing so just 86 total times over his first two seasons. He averaged 4.5 yards per carry last season, with six touchdowns. Rodriguez proved tough to bring down as well, ranking eighth among all back ins average yards after contact.

CB Montaric Brown

PFF grade:72.0

Brown took a big step forward last season, showcasing his abilities to start on a weekly basis and perform at a high level while doing so. He allowed a completion rate of just 54% on 68 targets and held opponents to just 10.4 yards per catch. Brown also flashed impressive ball production, coming away with two interceptions and forcing nine pass breakups.

LB Dennis Gardeck

PFF grade:57.7

Gardeck finished the season with 25 pressures, three sacks, and 35 total tackles. He can fill the all-important SAM linebacker role in Anthony Campanile's defense, but Gardeck saw more snaps last season at defensive end as a pass rusher.
