A bombshell report came out of Toronto, which could lead to an interesting Summer. We also have a top draft prospect changing his plan for the early offseason.

Philly Hockey Now: Yesterday was the NHL Draft Lottery. For the first time in a while, the Flyers did not have representatives paying attention to the lottery. Just because they weren't in it, it does not mean it didn't matter. The Flyers actually got the favorable result from the lottery. Here is what the results meant for the Flyers.

Sportsnet: Speaking of the draft lottery, the presumed No. 1 overall pick, Gavin McKenna, has changed his plan. He was initially going to play for Canada at the upcoming Men's World Championships, but has since decided to scrap that to focus on the NHL Draft Combine.
That's a bit of a personal bummer for me. Penn State, my alma mater (yes, I'm overly proud), has never sent a player to World Championships. McKenna would have been the first.
ANNNNDDDDDDD, the 2026 Calder Trophy Finalists have been announced. Ivan Demidov (MTL), Matthew Schaefer (NYI), and Beckett Sennecke (ANA) have all been announced as finalists for this year's award. If it goes to anyone but Schaefer, I'd be shocked.
