Phil Kessel played in an NHL-record 1,064 consecutive regular-season games, but it was his time with the Pittsburgh Penguins that forever made him a fan favorite, a hockey icon, and a two-time Stanley Cup champion.
In 2023, he became a three-time Cup champion when the Vegas Golden Knights hoisted hockey's biggest prize.

His sister Amanda Kessel was an elite player for Team USA on the international scene and an early leader in women's professional hockey. She's now the manager of minor league operations for the Penguins organization, having moved from player to a front-office role.
Both will join an extraordinary 2026 class being enshrined in the USA Hockey Hall of Fame on Monday, Nov. 30, 2026, in Washington , D.C. Ceremony details have not yet been announced.
Completing the class are T.J Oshie , Ryan Suter , and Stan Wong.
Phil Kessel played 17 NHL seasons, in three World Championships, and the 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics. In 1286 NHL games split between Boston , Toronto , the Penguins, Arizona, and Vegas, he tallied 413 goals and 992 points.

His best season, at least statistically, was 2017-18 with the Penguins when he had 92 points and scored 34 goals. His career high was 37 goals, set twice, first in 2011-12, and again in 2013-14 with the Toronto Maple Leafs .
Amanda Kessel was a three-time Olympian and one of the most gifted offensive players in women's hockey. She was a pivotal member of the 2018 Team USA squad that won gold for the first time in 20 years, and a member of the 2014 and 2022 teams that won silver.
Kessel played in seven IIHF Women's World Championships, winning four golds and three silvers. She recorded 59 points (20-39-59) in 43 tournament games.
Washington, D.C., is a perfect choice for the ceremony because it is not only where former President Barack Obama wryly noted Kessel was "a Stanley Cup champion," but where Oshie starred for nine seasons, including winning the 2018 Stanley Cup before injuries forced his retirement in 2024.

Oshie played in three World Championships for Team USA and the 2014 Winter Olympics, where he famously went 4-for-6 in a shootout round to beat Russia 3-2 in a preliminary round game.
He played 16 seasons, split between St. Louis and Washington, appearing in 1,010 NHL games and scoring 302 goals.
Suter was a mainstay on the Minnesota Wild for nine seasons and on Team USA at the 2010 Winter Olympics, earning a silver medal when Sidney Crosby scored the golden goal in Vancouver .
Overall, Suter played 1526 games in his 20-year career with Nashville , Minnesota, Dallas , and St. Louis.
Stan Wong was a fixture in the hockey community as an athletic trainer for 40 years, beginning in 1986. For 13 seasons, he was the head trainer for the Washington Capitals , then the Florida Panthers , before spending a couple of decades caring for Team USA.
