President Donald Trump will reportedly be in New Jersey in December for the latest installment of one of college football's most historic rivalries.
Trump is scheduled to attend the annual Army-Navy football game at MetLife Stadium Dec. 12, according to CBS News , citing U.S. officials. Neither the president nor White House representatives have confirmed the plans on the record.
The game would mark the third straight year Trump has attended the matchup between the Black Knights and the Midshipmen and the seventh time as either the president or president-elect. In addition to 2024 and 2025, he was also a spectator at games in 2016 and from 2018 through 2020.
The Army-Navy game was first held in 1890 and traditionally marks the end of the college football regular season. The contest typically takes place at a neutral site in the Northeast and is making its return to MetLife for the first time since 2021.
Trump issued an executive order in March preventing any postseason college football games from airing at the same time as the Army-Navy game. The 12 teams selected for this season's College Football Playoff will be announced Dec. 6, and the first round of games will start Dec. 18.
