- Quinyon Mitchell logs his first regular-season interception vs. Jaguars
Quinyon Mitchell recorded his first career regular-season interception Sunday against Jacksonville, picking off Trevor Lawrence with 2:15 left in the third quarter, with the Eagles leading 14-10 in London. The third-year cornerback entered the game with four postseason interceptions but had not recorded one in the regular season. His third-quarter takeaway ended a Jaguars possession and gave Philadelphia's offense another opportunity to extend its four-point advantage.
Mitchell recorded four tackles, including three solo stops, in the first half before adding the interception after halftime. He also helped force an early Jacksonville punt by stopping tight end Brenton Strange short of the first-down marker.
Philadelphia selected Mitchell No. 22 overall out of Toledo in the 2024 NFL draft, and he quickly established himself as a cornerstone of the secondary. He earned Associated Press first-team All-Pro honors for the 2025 season and his first Pro Bowl selection. Mitchell and Cooper DeJean became the first Eagles cornerbacks to earn first-team All-Pro recognition since Lito Sheppard in 2004.

Those honors came despite Mitchell finishing last season without a regular-season interception. Next Gen Stats say he allowed a 42.4% catch rate in 2025 and was the only cornerback who did not surrender a touchdown on at least 600 coverage snaps.
On Sunday, Mitchell added the missing regular-season takeaway to his résumé at a crucial point, helping Philadelphia protect a narrow lead against Lawrence and the Jaguars.
