The Raiders were struggling mightily with the Patriots offense on Sunday. And losing their best interior lineman doesn't help.
Tonka Hemingway left the game in the first quarter with what is being described as a stinger in his neck and headed for the locker room. He was replaced on the field initially by Folorunso Fatukasi.
Midway through the second quarter, Hemingway was ruled OUT for the remainder of the game.
Hemingway is a big loss for the Raiders. The second-year lineman has come on strong this year and has been the most consistent presence on the inside for Las Vegas. He leads all Raiders interior defensive linemen with 13 combined tackles and two QB hits.
The team is somewhat deep at the position, so one of the several rotating defensive tackles will have try and make up for his absence. Along with Fatukasi, the other DT's on the roster include Adam Butler, Thomas Booker, and Jonah Laulu.
