Raiders sign former mid-round offensive lineman
Thursday the Raiders open the preseason against the Arizona Cardinals . Ahead of that, they made a move on the offensive line, adding former Dolphins ' OL Braeden Daniels, while waiving injured G Justin Pickett.
Daniels was originally a fourth round pick by the Washington Commanders in the 2023 NFL Draft. An injury landed him on injured reserve as a rookie and he has yet to catch on in the NFL since then, spending time on the practice squads for the Texans , Chargers, Eagles , Cowboys, and Dolphins over the past couple seasons.

The 6-4, 305-pound offensive linemen played five seasons (2018-22) at the University of Utah, where he played in 49 career games (43 starts), including 18 starts at left guard, 14 starts at left tackle and 11 starts at right tackle, earning a Pac-12 All-Conference first team selection as a senior in 2022 and a Pac-12 All-Conference second team selection in 2021.
He replaces Pickett who was running as the third team left guard through much of camp.
