No one should be surprised by how close both games were this season between the Los Angeles Rams and the Seattle Seahawks . Not only did the two teams split the regular season series against each other, but their numbers are also almost identical.
First, the obvious: The Rams' margin of victory in their Week 11 win at home was two points. In the Seahawks' home win in Week 16, it was just one point.
But when you dig deeper, both offenses are performing at an equally incredible rate. In their two combined contests this season, the Rams have produced 830 total yards and the Seahawks have totaled 829 yards — almost identical.
That's wild.
And if you want to get crazier and zoom out a bit, the numbers are still closer. In the two teams' all-time series against each other, the Rams have 28 wins with 1,222 points scored. The Seahawks, meanwhile, have won 29 times with 1,223 points.
Never a dull moment in the NFC West. We'll see if these two sides face off in the postseason this year.
