The Los Angeles Rams entered the season as Super Bowl contenders.
Los Angeles went all-in this offseason, acquiring the reigning Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to bolster the defensive line. Then, the Rams brought back Aaron Donald from retirement to further bolster the defense.
Los Angeles had plenty of hype, but so far, the Rams have struggled. The Rams are off to a 2-4 start and have lost three straight games to the Denver Broncos , Buffalo Bills , and a stunning upset loss to the Arizona Cardinals .

To make matters worse, the Rams saw star receiver Davante Adams suffer a hamstring injury and is out for 6-10 weeks.
The injury to Adams is a massive blow to the Rams' offense and could hurt their chances of going on a run and even reaching the playoffs.
Yet, due to the injury, Los Angeles could look to make a trade for another receiver ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline, and there is one name that makes plenty of sense.
Rams should look to acquire Brian Thomas Jr.

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. (7) reacts to his reception during the first quarter of an NFL football matchup at EverBank Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026, in Jacksonville, Fla. The Jaguars defeated the Browns 34-10.
If Los Angeles does look to the trade market, the Rams should acquire 24-year-old Brian Thomas Jr. from the Jacksonville Jaguars .
The Jaguars selected Thomas 23rd overall in the 2024 NFL Draft out of LSU, and he had a stellar rookie season, with 1,282 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. Last season, he struggled, with just 707 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns.
This season, Thomas has had even less of an impact, as he didn't even catch a pass last week, and didn't even play a snap in the second half. He's buried on the Jaguars depth chart, and his name has now come up in trade rumors.
We just saw Marvin Harrison Jr., the fourth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, be traded, and Thomas could follow suit.

Due to his poor performance, the cost to acquire him likely would be a mid-round pick, as a third- or fourth-round pick would be enough, especially after Harrison went for a second.
Thomas wouldn't replace Adams' skill, but he would be worth a flier for Los Angeles. Thomas could be a solid No. 2 or No. 3 receiver for the Rams, and he should get more targets than he's getting in Jacksonville.
Meanwhile, the Rams need to get younger anyway, as Thomas could be part of the team for the next couple of years.
Regardless, Thomas has shown he can be an impact receiver, and perhaps being in a Sean McVay offense and having Matthew Stafford throwing the ball to him will help him get back on track.
So, the Rams trading for Thomas amid Adams' injury makes a ton of sense and is worth the risk.
