It is my understanding that the rookie numbers for the Los Angeles Rams incoming class have been announced. It’s exciting for the team, it’s exciting for the players and the fans and it’s good old-fashioned fun.

Who doesn’t love a good jersey and a good number to go with it?

It should be fun to hear about how the rookies are developing as each team marches towards the start of the season. For the Rams, they have so many players who they expect to stay playing at a high level or take a leap forward, so how will the rookies stack up to the veterans?

It’s a question perhaps as old as time. Will any newcomers overtake the more tenured players?

One thing at a time, get drafted, figure out your jersey number, and go from there. The rookies are checking boxes.

It’s Tuesday. Thank you for checking out Turf Show Time and have a day! Comment on whatever you want!

Rams reveal rookie jersey numbers for Ty Simpson, other draft picks (ramswire)

On Monday, the Rams announced which number each draft pick will wear, from Ty Simpson to Tim Keenan III. Of the five incoming draft picks, four of them will wear the same numbers they wore in college last season. The only exception? CJ Daniels, who’s going down one digit from No. 7 to 6.“

LA Rams’ Draft Decision: Ty Simpson vs. Taylen Green (sportsgrid.com)

“The Los Angeles Rams’ decision to draft Ty Simpson at the 13th pick continues to raise questions. The franchise expressed their long-term commitment to Simpson, hoping that longtime quarterback Matthew Stafford continues his career long enough that Simpson might not even need to start. This strategy is seen as a potential win for the Rams, demonstrating their confidence in both Stafford’s longevity and coach Sean McVay’s ability to mold young talent like Simpson.

However, the choice to overlook Taylin Green, who could have been a significant contributor from the first year, was criticized. Picking Green in the 5th round instead of Simpson in the first could have offered immediate benefits and added a dynamic player capable of bending defenses with his talent. Critics believe that McVay would have been excited to work with Green’s abilities, suggesting the decision to pass on him might have been a misstep. This draft strategy by the Rams is still a topic of debate among fans and analysts in Los Angeles .“

PFF highlights Rams rookie as Day 3 pick who could have early impact (ramswire)

“Following a successful collegiate career where he helped Liberty University complete its first-ever undefeated FBS regular season and win a conference title – and assisting the University of Miami in its return to national championship relevance during the Hurricanes’ run to the title game – Daniels hopes to be the next Day 3 pick to become a breakout star for the Rams.

With players like Puka Nacua , Quentin Lake , Kyren Williams , and others currently being a flag bearer to a tradition that has existed during Les Snead’s tenure as general manager, Daniels has a lot to live up to. The good news is that Pro Football Focus’  Bradley Locker  named Daniels as one of his Day 3 picks who could make an impact as a rookie.“

Random Ramsdom Fandom:

“I like Emmanuel, I would like it for him to stick around for a while. I just don’t see him being a starter for this team however if everyone is healthy. He would be a very good rotational piece as he showed flashes of greatness during the win streak.” -Leowaterhunteralt
