The Baltimore Ravens are far from being at full strength, with Lamar Jackson likely done for the remainder of the 2026 NFL season.
The superstar dual-threat quarterback missed games earlier in the campaign with an ankle injury, and his return to action in Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills didn't last very long, as he sustained a new injury, hurting his thumb and exiting the contest after just a snap in the first quarter.
The two-time NFL Most Valuable Player Jackson didn't return to the game and is now expected to play another game until 2027.
What's made the situation worse at quarterback for Baltimore is the injury that Tyler Huntley sustained in the same Bills game, putting his prospects of playing in jeopardy for at least the next few weeks.
The injuries to Jackson and Huntley left the Ravens to rely on third-stringer Joe Fagnano to finish the Bills game under center — and added more pressure on the team's defense.
Ravens defensive back Kyle Hamilton didn't like the situation left to the team's defense after Jackson and Huntley got banged up.
"I mean this with no disrespect but s–t has nothing to do with us. We're a defense, and at the end of the day you gotta go out there and play how you want to be remembered," Hamilton said after the game, via Kyle Goon of The Baltimore Banner .

Baltimore's injury concerns at quarterback don't end with Jackson and Huntley, with Fagnano also nursing a hurting ankle .
Fagnano is still expected to start against the Jaguars, but Baltimore has made a couple of moves to ensure there will be someone playing quarterback if Fagnano gets ultimately ruled out.
The Ravens have reportedly signed quarterback Kedon Slovis off the Green Bay Packers practice squad and they followed it up by working out former Nebraska Cornhuskers signal-caller Adrian Martinez, who is also a former UFL Most Valuable Player Award winner.
