Real Madrid are widely understood to be on the lookout for reinforcements in the middle of the park with a view to the 2027/28 campaign.
Eager to add a different profile to the current crop of engine room stars in José Mourinho's squad, Florentino Pérez and co. have drawn up a shortlist of high-profile targets for next year.
And the name of the aforementioned Alexis Mac Allister, it is claimed, has been circled in red in the boardroom at the Santiago Bernabéu.
As per a report from Fichajes , citing Sky Sport:
'Real Madrid have placed Alexis Mac Allister at the top of their list of targets. The club presided over by Florentino Pérez is looking for a new leader for the midfield and has the full support of José Mourinho, a strong advocate for the Argentine international.'
