Despite having obtained Ibrahima Konate and Bernardo Silva on free transfers, Real Madrid have still spent quite a lot of money to sign their four new players. Marc Cucurella cost them €55 million in initial fixed fees, and they might have to pay another €5 million for him in variables. Furthermore, Denzel Dumfries ' release clause of €20 million will be paid this month. In addition to that, the Merengues also had to pay Benfica €15 million to activate Jose Mourinho's release clause.
Thus, in addition to lightening their squad, another objective in the Merengues' mind as they look to complete some exit operations in the coming weeks would be to recoup some of this investment.
However, selling their current players is not going to be their only source of revenue from the transfer market, as they can also obtain a significant amount of money from their former players on whom they still have some rights.
In fact, they can receive a significant sum from such a source soon, as MARCA reports that Alvaro Rodriguez , whose 50% rights are still owned by Real Madrid, has closed a transfer, as Bournemouth have reached an agreement with Elche for his purchase. The English side would pay €25 million fixed and another €5 million in variable for the striker.
Right now, the Merengues would get €12.5 million from this transfer, while they can get another €2.5 million if the agreed upon variables are reached. If the €2 million that Elche paid for him are added, the white club's total income from Rodriguez would rise up to €17 million.
Thus, after having obtained significant sums for Nico Paz and Victor Munoz, Real Madrid continue to reap financial benefits from their training of youth talent, and their earnings from this source can increase even further before the current summer transfer window ends.
