The Miami Dolphins have been making several moves in their running back room since De'Von Achane tore his ACL in the team's Week 3 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
One of the most recent transactions that the Dolphins made at the position was releasing Jarquez Hunter, who they acquired in a trade from the Los Angeles Rams for wide receiver Tutu Atwell at the roster cut deadline.
While Hunter passed through waivers unclaimed it didn't take him long to find a new home, as he's signed with the New Orleans Saints practice squad.
The 23-year-old played collegiately at Auburn from 2021-24. rushing for 3,378 yards and 25 touchdowns on 6.3 yards per attempt and caught 68 passes for an additional 558 yards and four scores.
The Los Angeles Rams took him in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft but he didn't receive a single touch as a rookie, and he didn't get a snap with the Dolphins, even after Achane's injury.
Now, he's hoping for a new opportunity in the NFC South, while Miami is left with Ollie Gordon II, Jaylen Wright, Kaytron Allen, and Carlos Washington Jr. at running back between their 53-man roster and practice squad.
