Before the transfer window closes in a few days, Union Berlin could be in line to make some serious money once again. As both 'bz' and Sky expert Florian Plettenberg report, Ilyas Ansah is on the verge of a move to the Premier League.
Promoted side Hull City are said to be willing to pay €22 million for the striker. Including bonuses, the fee could even rise to €24 million, according to Plettenberg.
He is expected to sign a contract with the Premier League club until 2031 once he has completed his medical. According to 'bz', Ansah already said goodbye to his teammates yesterday.
The forward scored five goals in 36 appearances across all competitions last season and, with this transfer fee, is set to become the most expensive departure in Union's club history. According to 'transfermarkt.de', Taiwo Awoniyi previously held the record. He joined Nottingham Forest in 2023 for €20.50 million.
