Will Reichard stands alone in Vikings history. With his second field goal on Sunday, Minnesota's incredible kicker reached 36 consecutive field goals made. That passes Gary Anderson's mark of 35 (established in 1998) and sets a new franchise record.
Reichard hasn't missed a kick in over a calendar year. It was October 23, 2025 when he last missed a field goal against the Chargers at SoFi Stadium. He hit his final 19 field goals of last season and is now a perfect 17-for-17 in 2026. He also hasn't missed an extra point during that span (or in his entire NFL career).
Down 7-0 early, the Vikings got on the board via a 29-yard Reichard field goal to start the second quarter. He then broke the record with a 47-yarder a little over eight minutes of game time later.
The next milestone within reach for Reichard is the all-time NFL record for consecutive made field goals. It's 44 and held by Adam Vinatieri, who set the mark in 2016.
UPDATE: There will be no NFL record for Reichard, at least not for a while. His 59-yard field goal attempt in the fourth quarter was blocked, ending his streak at 36.
Drafted in the sixth round in 2024, the 25-year-old Reichard has become an invaluable weapon for the Vikings, who have struggled to finish drives with touchdowns this season. They've won games with nothing but field goals on multiple occasions during this 5-0 start. Reichard gives them almost a guaranteed three points whenever they're at least around the opposing 40 yard-line.
