- Report: 2 Candidates Emerge in Baltimore Ravens Offensive Coordinator Search
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
The Baltimore Ravens made one of the best hires in the NFL coaching carousel, bringing in Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter as the franchise's next head coach. Now, Minter is assembling his first Ravens coaching staff and all eyes are on who will be the offensive play-caller.
During an appearance on The Insiders , Ian Rapoport of NFL Network mentioned that Kliff Kingsbury and Joe Brady are "two names to keep in mind" who have a shot at becoming the next Ravens offensive coordinator.

Brady, the former Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator, is also a head-coaching candidate. He is scheduled to have a second interview this week with the Las Vegas Raiders , who are looking for a head coach who matches his qualifications . He's also firmly in the mix to replace McDermott as the next Bills head coach.
As a play-caller last season, Brady oversaw a Bills offense that ranked second in points per drive (2.70), fourth in third-down conversion rate (44.8%) and yards per drive (36.7), fifth in yards-per-play average (5.9), and seventh in scoring rate (44.8%). One big reason for that is that Buffalo led the NFL in rushing (159.6 yards per game) and only trailed the Ravens in yards-per-carry average (5.0).

Similar to Brady, Kingsbury was also brought in for an interview during the Ravens' coaching search. While he was not retained as the Washington Commanders offensive coordinator following the 2025 season, it was not due to poor performance. Even with Jayden Daniels and Terry McLaurin missing a majority of the season, Kingsbury's offense ranked fourth in yards per carry (4.7), eighth in rushing (143.7 yards per game) and sixth in red-zone touchdown rate (65.2%).
If Minter does not want to wait for Brady to go through additional head-coaching interviews with the Raiders and Bills, he could move to hire Kingsbury relatively quickly. However, the number of offensive coordinator candidates available and the possibility that Brady is not hired by Buffalo or Las Vegas might make a patient approach worthwhile.
