Gipson was brought over in the middle of the 2025 campaign, when he was signed off the San Francisco 49ers ' practice squad on Oct. 28. He'd go on to appear in 10 total games and amassed a pair of sacks, one of which came in the Panthers' wild-card round loss to the Los Angeles Rams .
In addition to Gipson—as long as his new pact is made official—the Panthers have also re-signed wide receiver David Moore , defensive lineman LaBryan Ray , outside linebacker Thomas Incoom , cornerback Robert Rochell , safety Isaiah Simmons and long snapper JJ Jansen. Carolina is also reportedly planning to re-sign cornerback Akayleb Evans .
