Strahm spent the last three seasons in Philadelphia and became a dependable left-hander out of its bullpen. In 2025, the 34-year-old amassed a 2.74 ERA with 70 strikeouts in 66 appearances.
He was an All-Star in 2024 and finished the season with a 1.87 ERA in 66 games.
Strahm spent the 2022 season with the Boston Red Sox and was effective during his tenure with a 3.83 ERA and 3.72 FIP in 44 ⅔ innings.
The Royals could use Strahm as their setup man behind All-Star Carlos Estévez , who’s expected to be the closer in 2026.
