The structure is telling. Beşiktaş are pushing to complete the transfer via a loan with a mandatory purchase clause, bringing the total package to around 15 million euros. The intention is to move quickly, with club officials aiming to complete all paperwork and confirm the arrival of the 28 year old centre back early next week.
From Beşiktaş's perspective, this is about urgency and authority. As one line from Turkey put it, "The club wants to finish everything and close the file without delay".
Our View – EPL Index Analysis
There is an acceptance that Agbadou has not fully embedded himself as an untouchable figure at Wolves , and a 15 million euro obligation to buy represents respectable business. Wolves fans are pragmatic. If a player wants a new challenge and the fee allows reinvestment, many will see logic rather than loss.

That said, there is frustration at the timing. January exits always feel destabilising, particularly in defence where continuity matters most. Supporters will question whether Wolves can afford to weaken depth mid season, especially if the replacement plan is unclear. A loan with mandatory purchase provides financial certainty, but fans will want reassurance that this is part of a wider strategy rather than a reactive sale.
There is also scepticism about value. Some will argue that a Premier League defender in his prime should command more, while others will counter that moving decisively avoids drawn out sagas. Ultimately, Wolves fans judge these deals on what comes next. If the funds are recycled smartly, this will be viewed as sensible. If not, it risks feeling like another short term compromise dressed up as strategy.
