Despite the interest to return, Green said he's at peace with his life after football.
"I've enjoyed this next chapter, just being with my boys, playing a lot of golf, taking a lot of trips, snowboarding, doing stuff I never had an opportunity to do while I was playing," Green told Fowler. "I'm enjoying this."
Green, 37, was one of five 2026 inductees to the South Carolina Football Hall of Fame in Greenville Thursday night.
Green played prep football at Summerville High School in South Carolina, where he was a three-sport star and set several records before becoming an All-American at Georgia. Green's No. 1 jersey is retired at Summerville.
Green was drafted fourth overall by the Bengals in 2011. He ranks No. 2 in franchise history in receptions (649), receiving yards (9,430) and touchdown catches (65).
