World Cup reflections and resilience
The move toItalycomes off the back of a summer where Chalobah earned a late call-up to Thomas Tuchel's England squad for the 2026 World Cup. Although England suffered a painful semi-final exit, they finished the tournament on a high with a 6-4 victory overFrancein the third-place play-off.
Reflecting on the bittersweet finish, Chalobah concluded: "No one wants to come third. You're just one step away from the final It was definitely hard for the players. It did hit us for a couple of days. You know how hard the boys worked, how they believed that we could win it. And yeah, we were so close. But we learn from this and be proud of what we've done and achieved."
