Tarik Muharemovic has been brilliant for Leeds United in the Premier League since arriving in the summer.
However, the centre-back was the subject of some debate as his statistics at the Whites were being discussed.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina international has undoubtedly been one of the best summer signings at the West Yorkshire outfit, but some metrics may be taking things a bit too far to justify his impact in LS11.
James McFadden isn't a big fan of Muharemovic holding the record for the 'most successful launches' in the Premier League since moving to Elland Road.
While there's no denying the 23-year-old defender's qualities, many fans would surely agree that statistics often leave a lot to be desired when assessing a player.
As data becomes more prevalent in modern-day football, some aspects of the game have come under scrutiny.
What 'successful launches' means as Tarik Muharemovic tops charts in Premier League
Muharemovic could possibly leave Leeds for another team before too long after catching many people's attention with his performances in the English top flight.
While there's plenty of evidence to suggest that the Bosnia and Herzegovina ace has been exceptional at Elland Road, 'successful launches' may not factor much into it.
The metric basically means the centre-back has hoofed the ball high up or into an area where it has found a teammate.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live on 31 October, Mark Chapman said: "Muharemovic at Leeds, he's top of the Premier League stats for successful launches.
"So when did this become a metric? And also, launch is defined as long high ball into space or an area for players to chase or challenge. So that's a hoof, isn't it?"
McFadden responded: "That shows you exactly where we're going with football that you're now measuring a launch and giving it a fancy name. That's ridiculous."
Dion Dublin and others in the studio were in hysterics as the former Scotland international ripped into the idea of the statistic.
Gabriel Gudmundsson intel shared as key Leeds United player limps off in Bournemouth loss Why Tarik Muharemovic will be disappointed after Leeds United loss vs Bournemouth
Muharemovic has been part of a relatively resolute backline at Leeds this season.
However, against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, the Whites conceded two goals, the first coming after an error from James Trafford.
The Cherries then doubled their lead in the final minutes as Amine Adli got in behind the West Yorkshire outfit's defence after slipping past Jean-Matteo Bahoya.
During Muharemovic's 90 minutes on the pitch, he made 12 defensive contributions, 10 clearances, and won one tackle, two ground duels and nine aerial duels, according to Sofascore .
The centre-back was heavily involved as the West Yorkshire outfit dominated possession, recording 102 touches and completing 70 passes.
Muharemovic was arguably let down by some of his teammates against Bournemouth.
Daniel Farke's team face Tottenham Hotspur next in the Premier League on 7 November.
