¡Row in Mexico! Toluca get Vega and Gallardo for Concachampions
The National Team is once again at the center of criticism after granting Toluca special permission to use Alexis Vega and Jesús Gallardo in the second leg of the Concacaf Champions Cup semifinal against Los Angeles FC .
The controversy arose after the instruction that clubs should release their national team players to join the Mexican squad, without counting on them for the Liguilla.
And that is how it happened: both Vega and Gallardo did not take part in the first leg of the Clausura 2026 quarterfinals. However, this Tuesday they were seen training with the Red Devils.
