Sabri Lamouchi has stepped down from his position as Tunisia manager following an incident allegedly involving his son.
Tunisia were beaten 5-1 by Sweden in the opening game of their World Cup campaign, which sparked angry responses from supporters.
A credible report from journalist Romain Molina broke the news that the former Nottingham Forest manager had left his position, but now fresher details have emerged.
Reports on Tunisian radio station Mosaique FM claimed that Lamouchi's son was attacked by angry supporters in the aftermath of the loss.
The 54-year-old's son, who doesn't work with the national team, travelled on the bus, without any official clearance from the staff, and has been seen alongside the technical staff and during training sessions.
This, coupled with the heavy defeat, resulted in his departure. Reports have claimed that former boss Mondher Kebaier will step in to oversee the rest of the tournament.

Sacking a manager or someone resigning midway through a tournament is rare, but not unimaginable.
Tunisia previously sacked Henryk Kasperczak during the 1998 World Cup after losses to England and Colombia before his replacement earned a 1-1 draw against Romania.
There were two more casualties at the same World Cup as Cha Bum-kun was given his marching orders by South Korea following two defeats that left qualification from their group as impossible. Saudi Arabia also sacked Carlos Alberto.
Jean-Louis Gasset was dismissed by the Ivory Coast following an embarrassing 4-0 loss to Equatorial Guinea at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations . They were able to scrape through to the knockout rounds, securing their spot as one of the best third-placed teams.
