The Milwaukee Brewers starter surrendered five runs and five hits while allowing two home runs, but only one of the five runs was earned. Misiorowski still struck out 10 hitters in the game as well. One of the home runs he gave up was to Sal Stewart , who accomplished a feat that has not been seen before in Reds history since pitch tracking began in 2008.
According to MLB Stats, Stewart hit a home run off a 102.3 MPH fastball, which is the fastest pitch hit for a long ball by a Reds player.
Sal Stewart and Jacob Misiorowski are two of the young stars in today's game. They will likely go head-to-head for years to come in the National League Central division.
Stewart, a rookie, is now hitting .257 to go along with an .813 OPS and 17 home runs. He is among the strongest candidates to win the National League Rookie of the Year. Stewart's future is bright .
Meanwhile, Misiorowski, who is in his second big league season, still holds a stellar 1.47 ERA with 156 strikeouts. He did not have his best outing on Thursday, but Misiorowski is still having a tremendous season . He has been incredible for most of the 2026 campaign.
