Seahawks dealing with multiple injuries at OT
The Seattle Seahawks released their first practice report on Wednesday ahead of Sunday's NFC Championship Game versus the Los Angeles Rams . Quarterback Sam Darnold was expectedly limited due to his ongoing oblique injury. The more concerning aspect of the injury report is that all three left tackles did not participate.
Starting LT Charles Cross is nursing a foot injury. Veteran backup Josh Jones also sat practice out with knee and ankle issues. Rookie undrafted free agent Amari Kight , added to the roster recently due to Cross' and Jones' availability issues, has a knee injury of his own.
Cross missed the final three games of the regular season with injury. The Seahawks claiming the first-round bye was critical to his recovery. Cross returned to action in the divisional round victory over the San Francisco 49ers .
Cross was outstanding versus the 49ers. His Pro Football Focus pass blocking grade of 85.2 was his highest of the 2025 campaign since Week 1 (also against the 49ers). Cross did not allow a single pressure or sack in the 41-6 thumping over the 49ers.
The Seahawks are likely treating Cross with caution. The star blindside protector should be available versus the Rams . We'll monitor Mike Macdonald's daily updates.
