Across his two games this season, Love has recorded nine tackles and two interceptions. His presence in Seattle's secondary remains particularly important to Mike Macdonald's defensive system, especially with backup safety Ty Okada continuing to miss time.
Okada has been sidelined for all three games so far against the New England Patriots, Arizona Cardinals , and Commanders after pulling his hamstring right before Week 1. Having not returned to the field in any capacity yet, his availability for the Chargers game remains in serious doubt.
