Heading into the highly anticipated Wednesday night clash between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots , one of the biggest questions surrounding the reigning Super Bowl champions involves the statuses of ascending star safety Nick Emmanwori and second-year wide receiver Tory Horton .
Taking to social media to reveal the latest intel, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo laid out the initial statuses of the duo, with neither officially up or down for the game just yet.
"(The) Seahawks are listing S Nick Emmanwori and WR Tory Horton as questionable for tomorrow against the Patriots," Garafolo wrote on social media. "S Ty Okada is out."

One of the true success stories of the Mike Macdonald defense, Emmanwori underwent surgery on his ankle over the summer in order to hopefully be ready to go in time for the regular season debut. While only time will tell if that actually happens, the Seahawks sure hope he can play, as Emmanwori was a key weapon in their past win over the Patriots back in February, recording five tackles in his Super Bowl debut.
And as for Horton? While the 2025 fifth-round pick didn't do much damage as a rookie on offense, he was a weapon on special teams, where he recorded the longest punt return of the season in 2025 on a 95-yard touchdown . If the Seahawks can get both players back for Week 1, it will undoubtedly help them make it 2-0 against the Patriots and set them up for a title defense for the ages during the 2026 NFL season.
