The league’s full 2026 holiday slate has leaked, and it’s headlined by a mouth-watering Seahawks-Rams showdown on Christmas Day that doubles as a rematch of January’s NFC Championship Game. For fans of both franchises and honestly, football fans everywhere this is the gift that keeps on giving.
The leaked 2026 NFL Christmas schedule reads like a primetime programmer’s dream:
Christmas Eve (Thursday, December 24):
Houston Texans vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Christmas Day (Friday, December 25):
Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears
Buffalo Bills vs. Denver Broncos
Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks
The NFL has been pushing hard to make Christmas a full-blown football holiday in recent years, and the 2026 iteration looks like its most compelling yet. With Christmas falling on a Friday this year, the league is expected to spread games across a two-day window, making it one of the most content-rich holiday stretches in league history .

The centerpiece is undeniably the Rams-Seahawks game, which carries enormous emotional weight heading into the regular season. Back on January 25, 2026, the Seattle Seahawks edged the Los Angeles Rams 31-27 in a thrilling NFC Championship Game at Lumen Field, with Sam Darnold delivering a vintage clutch performance and the Seahawks escaping on a disputed final-play ruling on Puka Nacua that ended Los Angeles’ season. The Rams have had eight months to stew on that loss, and Christmas Day gives them their first opportunity to settle the score in front of a national audience.
Both teams figure to be NFC West contenders again in 2026, and the bitter aftertaste of January’s heartbreaker should ensure this matchup carries playoff-level intensity from the opening kickoff.
The Bills-Broncos clash adds an AFC clash to the holiday, while Packers-Bears in Chicago, a rivalry as old as the NFL itself, gives the Christmas slate the kind of throwback tradition that perfectly bookends the marquee NFC West showdown. Eagles-Texans on Christmas Eve rounds out a slate that makes a very strong case for skipping dessert and planting yourself on the couch.
