The LSU Tigers have been working hard to make sure that all of their new players will be eligible for the upcoming season, and it appears as though they may have been successful.
Though the SEC initially fought back on the addition of players who had previously signed professional contracts, going as far as to threaten punishments, they are now backing away.
Yahoo Sports insider Ross Dellenger reported on Saturday morning that the SEC has told attorneys that they will comply with the court orders that they had been added to. This once again clears the way for the athletes involved in lawsuits to play this year.
It has been a rollercoaster for the Tigers and their new stars, but things are back to moving in the positive direction for both the football and basketball programs.
Will Wade has likely been sweating this a bit more as start guard RJ Luis is wrapped up in this. He was always going to be the hardest to get to campus having signed an NBA deal and been traded. They then received a preliminary injunction allowing him to play, only to have the SEC swoop in with their new rules shortly after.
Luis getting to the court or not could very well be the difference between LSU getting to March Madness or missing it once again.
It was less crucial for the Tigers' football team to get their players, but their depth should be massively improved now. Zxavian Harris and Dae'Quan Wright should now make it to the field.
Harris is a massive space eater up the middle on defense with surprising athletic upside. He has a ton of skill and some believe he could have been drafted to the NFL. Wright had 635 yards and five scores in Lane Kiffin's offense last year.
LSU will also now wait to see what happens with Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end Jack Pyburn, who intends to make a return to college if he doesn't make the Bucs' 53-man roster.
