🤕 Setback for Betis: Marc Bartra injured
Real Betis Balompiéissued an official statement this Tuesday detailing the health status of Marc Bartra .
The Catalan centre-back had to leave the pitch in the club's last league match against Real Madrid after feeling a sharp pain in his right foot.
Following medical tests carried out by the club's specialists, it has been confirmed that Bartra has suffered a partial injury to the plantar fascia in his right foot. This setback is a blow for the defender, who had been regaining consistency in Manuel Pellegrini's system.

Although the club has not wanted to set an exact timeframe for his return, the medical staff have indicated that his return to group training will depend on the day-to-day progress of his recovery. Injuries of this kind usually require a great deal of caution to avoid setbacks.
Bartra's absence leaves Betis' defence in a delicate situation for the coming matchdays. The coaching staff will have to look for alternatives within the squad to cover the absence of an experienced leader at the heart of the defence, right at a key stage of the schedule.
