Social media reacts to transfer Sam Orme committing to Nebraska
Nebraska basketball made its first pickup via the transfer portal late Thursday night. Belmont forward Sam Orme committed to the Huskers on social media.
Orme played in 30 games for the Bruins this past season and averaged 12.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. He shot 55.9% from the field and 39.7% from behind the arc.
The sophomore from Carmel, Indiana, should fit nicely in Fred Hoiberg's offense. He stands at six feet nine inches, 220 pounds.
If there is an area of concern, it would be free-throw shooting. While shooting 56% from the field and 40% from the 3-point line, he only shot 64% from the charity stripe.
Social media saw several reactions on Thursday night, and we've included some of the best posts below.
