Tottenham Hotspur are not "actively" looking to sell striker Dominic Solanke despite his struggles of late, sources have told Football Insider.
The 29-year-old has struggled for form so far this season, but remains "highly-regarded" by Roberto De Zerbi and the coaching staff.
Spurs still believe that if they can get Solanke fit and firing, then he is the right man to continue to lead their attack.
Sources say that they still have plenty of faith in the England international and are not keen to offload him any time soon.
Solanke has battled continual injuries since his £65million move from Bournemouth back in 2024, and has rarely had a sustained run in the team.
However, he has been regularly involved so far this season, and has scored two goals from his opening 10 games in all competitions.
Tottenham lacking striker depth
Solanke's lack of form has been a hot topic of discussion for Spurs fans in recent weeks, but De Zerbi doesn't have many other options at the moment.
Omar Marmoush is the only other player at the club right now who is capable of operating in an out-and-out striker role, but the boss has preferred to start him on the left wing so far.
As a result, Tottenham's reliance on Solanke is significant at the moment, and they have no plans to cash in on him while that remains the case.
They are working to try and reduce the lack of attacking depth in January, rather than weaken it any further.
Solanke was a huge purchase for the club when he arrived from Bournemouth, and Spurs still haven't given up hope that he will come good for them.
De Zerbi's stance on Ben Davies' Tottenham future revealed Tottenham's stance on Ben Davies exit
Football Insiderrevealed on Monday that De Zerbi is prepared to hand a new contract to Ben Davies at the end of the season.
The 33-year-old continues to be involved in North London, and is also seen as a leader within the Lilywhites' group.
Sources say that Spurs will give "serious consideration" to handing Davies another contract extension, provided he proves that can still do a job when called upon.
The Welshman was handed a one-year extension to his deal this summer, and the same scenario could potentially play out at the end of this season.
