The end of the summer transfer window is drawing near, and activity in the market has seen a sharp increase; as a result, clubs are pursuing players with more intent and offering more money.

Amidst the transfer window chaos, Manchester United are quietly having a very good window; the three midfield acquisitions of Andrey Santos , Youri Tielemans and, recently, Carlos Baleba have improved an area in desperate need of reform.
Fans are urging the board to target a new left back next, as Luke Shaw 's injury history and Patrick Dorgu 's position change have left that area of the pitch short.
But recent reports suggest United could be in for yet another midfielder, as a Real Madrid mainstay has become available.
Man Utd chase Camavinga
Since the departure of fan-favourite Casemiro , the Reds have been left with a five-time Champions League winner-sized hole in the midfield; experience of that pedigree is rare in today's game.

According to Cadena SER , United are preparing a £50 million bid for Real Madrid's Eduardo Camavinga, as speculation continues over whether Los Blancos will target Enzo Fernandez .
Camavinga arrived from Ligue 1 side Rennes for less than £30 million in 2021 and has featured 225 times for Real Madrid, helping them win two Champions Leagues and two La Liga titles in that time.
The Frenchman was a mainstay in the French national team until this summer, when Didier Deschamps opted for the likes of Auriélien Tchouameni and Manu Kone, two other United midfield targets, for the World Cup.
The most attractive part of the 23-year-old's game is his adaptability. Camavinga has featured in various positions for Real Madrid, but has predominantly adapted to the left-back role, a position United are targeting.

The board has been open about their desire to sign a left back who can also feature in other positions, and Camavinga fits that mould perfectly.

Is Camavinga the left back answer?
It is obvious the Frenchman is a top-tier footballer; he's been fantastic across the five seasons he's played in Madrid, and has proved his worth on the world stage.

But with a lack of experience at left back, and other options available on the market, is Camavinga the right player to be targeting the left back dilemma?
The 23-year-old's attributes fit the mould the Reds are searching for; he's quick, good at defending, and can progress the ball well. He averaged 58.80 succesful passes and 3.36 accurate long balls per 90 in La Liga last season.
United have been chasing Newcastle's Lewis Hall throughout the summer, and he seems to be the ideal contender for the left-back role, but his £60 million price tag seems to be keeping United from securing the signing.
Racing Santander's Jorge Salinas is also being considered. At 19, his potential is enticing, and he can play across the backline, but United have yet to make a formal approach for the Spaniard.
Camavinga holds experience over the two mentioned options, and at £50 million, could become another budget summer addition.
